Account Setup
Complete your account setup to get the most out of PayTrack.
Profile Settings
Section titled “Profile Settings”Basic Information
Section titled “Basic Information”Navigate to Settings → Profile to update:
- Full Name - Your display name
- Email - Your account email (can be changed in Security)
- Company/Business - Your business name
- Website - Your website URL
- Location - Your location
- Timezone - Important for deadline tracking
- Bio - Brief description about yourself
Profile Photo
Section titled “Profile Photo”Profile photo upload is coming soon. For now, your initials will be displayed.
Notification Preferences
Section titled “Notification Preferences”Go to Settings → Notifications to configure:
- Email Notifications - Master toggle for all email notifications
- Project Deadlines - Alerts for upcoming deadlines
- Payment Reminders - Notifications for overdue invoices
- Client Messages - New messages from clients
- Weekly Reports - Business performance summaries
- Marketing Emails - Product updates and tips
Invoice Settings
Section titled “Invoice Settings”Configure default invoice settings in Settings → Billing:
- Invoice Prefix - Text prepended to invoice numbers (e.g., “INV”, “PT-2025-”)
- Next Invoice Number - Starting sequence number
- Default Payment Terms - Days until payment is due (15, 30, 45, or 60)
- Late Fee - Percentage added to overdue invoices
- Default Tax Rate - Default tax percentage
Security Settings
Section titled “Security Settings”Manage your account security in Settings → Security:
- Change Password - Update your account password
- Change Email - Update your email address (requires verification)
- Connected Accounts - Manage Google OAuth connection
- Delete Account - Permanently delete your account
Monthly Goal
Section titled “Monthly Goal”Set a monthly revenue goal in Settings → Profile:
- Enter your target monthly revenue amount
- Track your progress on the dashboard
- Update as your business grows
Subscription & Billing
Section titled “Subscription & Billing”View and manage your subscription in Settings → Billing:
- Current Plan - See your active plan (Free, Pro, or Team)
- Manage Subscription - Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel
- Stripe Connect - Connect your Stripe account for payments
Best Practices
Section titled “Best Practices”- Set your timezone correctly for accurate deadline tracking
- Enable email notifications for important events
- Configure invoice settings before creating your first invoice
- Set a realistic monthly goal to track progress
- Keep your profile information up to date
